Your day will start with a hotel pick-up by our driver and transfer to Nungwi for an authentic cultural and culinary experience with the local community. Upon arrival, you will enjoy a guided village tour where you will explore daily life, local markets, and traditional dhow-building sites. You will meet friendly locals and learn about their customs, traditions, and rich coastal heritage.

After the village tour, you will join the “Nungwi Mama” collective for a hands-on cooking class. These local women will warmly welcome you into their community and teach you how to prepare authentic Zanzibari dishes using fresh, local ingredients. You will cook together, learn traditional recipes, and enjoy the meal you have prepared. Vegetarian and special dietary needs can be accommodated.

This experience offers a meaningful cultural connection, giving you the chance to experience Zanzibar beyond tourism while supporting local women and their families. After the activity, our driver will safely transfer you back and drop you off at your hotel.
