Your day will start with a hotel pick-up by our driver and transfer to Zanculinary where you will enjoy an authentic village walking tour and discover the rural life of Zanzibar. You will meet a women’s pottery group, learn about their traditional craft, and explore daily village activities with a local guide.

You will then join a Swahili cooking class with local chefs, starting with a visit to a local market to collect fresh ingredients. Using the “farm to table” concept, you will work with seasonal fruits, spices, and vegetables while learning how Zanzibar cuisine is prepared. You will also discover traditional dishes such as Wali na Maharage, Octopus Curry, and Mshikaki, along with fresh organic juices and Zanzibar coffee.

During the experience, you will enjoy cultural immersion by wearing traditional Swahili dress (Kanga for women and Kofia for men) and visiting a traditional mud house. You will also experience agro-tour activities and interact with local villagers in their daily life, gaining a deeper understanding of Zanzibar culture and traditions.

At the end of the experience, you will enjoy the delicious lunch that you prepared during the cooking class. Finally, our driver will transfer you back safely to your hotel, marking the end of a rich and memorable cultural experience in Zanzibar.
